A categoria foi a que teve mais votantes, 12, e totalizou 77 álbuns internacionais (120 com as interseções) lançados em 2022 presentes nas listas.
Houve um empate de três álbuns no décimo lugar. Como não houve como desempatar o décimo lugar, a lista ficou com 12 álbuns.
Apesar de uma enorme quantidade de lançamentos, como em todos os anos, não houveram tantos álbuns que conseguiram se destacar enquanto proposta de “álbum”, ou seja, em muitos casos boas canções mas não que não sustentam o álbum como um todo.
É importante ressaltar a diversidade da lista, marcada pela presença de várias bandas do cenário Indie/Alternativo, mas que tem também a presença do álbum de Beyoncé entre os principais destaques e também do Dead Cross.
